All missionaries of Cedine are carefully
chosen on the basis of assurance of salvation and their love for the Lord
Jesus Christ. Thorough training in the Word of God is essential. In belief
and practice the precepts of God's Word are taken as directives in carrying
out the four-fold purpose of the Mission as set forth in its charter:
- To evangelize the unsaved.
- To train the Christian.
- To send forth trained Christians into
a life of service as witnesses for Christ.
- To assist in the establishment of
Bible teaching indigenous churches.
- Cedine missionaries seek, therefore,
to fulfill these purposes by endeavoring to reach the
unsaved and train the Christian through:
- Children's Bible clubs and
classes.
- Young people's Bible classes,
Bible quizzing, and leadership training programs.
- Adult Bible classes that lead
toward the establishment of indigenous Bible
teaching churches.
- House-to-house visitation and
Christian literature distribution.
- Camps are planned to meet the
needs of Juniors, Middles, and Teens.
- Retreats are planned to meet
the needs of Couples, Singles, Ladies, and Men.
- Training through Bible
correspondence courses and extension classes at
the community level.
An outside (non-staff) policy-making Board
meeting twice annually, governs the overall affairs of Cedine's
ministries.
